Bonjour, hallo, ciao, I’m Jessika

Just before 40, I surprised everyone (including myself) by turning down a General Manager role I worked toward for years. Instead, I packed my favorite Hermes scarf, grabbed my little teckel Takkie and booked a one-way ticket, destination unknown…

No plan. No job. No backup. Just a desire to reinvent myself on my own terms, with 15+ years of experience in luxury hospitality, intuition and the discreet thrill of doing things differently.

But my journey into refined living began long before Gate 40A.

For my very first role after studying Hospitality Management, I worked the Netherlands as a PR Manager promoting the Bourgogne and Champagne wine regions. What I expected to be a professional introduction quickly became a full immersion into the world of French wine culture. I spent those years wandering through vineyards in every season, studying oenology in Beaune, learning the language of terroir and the personality of each cépage, and discovering the centuries-old craftsmanship poured into every bottle.

I didn’t just learn about wine, I fell in love with the world of vineyards and everything it inspires: beauty, patience, ritual, precision, and the art of taking your time.

From there, I moved to the French Riviera, representing luxury 4- and 5-star hotels in Nice on an international B2B stage. This experience allowed me to connect elite hospitality brands with discerning global clients and deepen my understanding of luxury travel, service, and bespoke experiences. It was a world where curated elegance meets personal storytelling, a perfect complement to the lessons I’d learned among vineyards.

Today, that passion naturally lives on in my work as a guest travel blogger and lifestyle writer. 

I’ve created stories for destinations such as Les Sources de Caudalie, Castelfalfi, Les Sources de Cheverny, and the great wine regions of Bordeaux and Bourgogne. Places where luxury hospitality, wellness, gastronomy and terroir come together in their most refined expression.

Today, I’m embracing a slower rhythm of life, writing a new story, with elegance, curiosity and more than a few glasses of fine wine.

I believe reinvention is the new luxury and sometimes the most meaningful destinations are the ones without an itinerary.

After all, reinvention isn’t a crisis. It’s a first-class upgrade.
