After more than 15 years crafting five-star experiences in luxury hospitality and shaping stories for some of the world’s most prestigious destinations and brands, I reached a crossroads.
Just as the ultimate opportunity landed on my desk, the role I had worked toward for years, was finally offered to me. Instead of excitement, I felt a quiet certainty: this wasn’t the destination I wanted anymore. I realised something unexpected: saying yes would keep me on a path that no longer felt like mine.
I could stay on the predictable flight path, or board a new journey of midlife reinvention.
I chose a different gate, one that promised personal growth and the freedom to design my own course.
Takeoff: Launching First Class Boarding Pass
On my 39th birthday, I made a promise to myself: one year to change everything before turning 40, before it felt “too late.” At the time, I truly believed that reaching 40 meant doors had closed. That my chance to reinvent myself was behind me. What I didn’t understand then is that life doesn’t close down at 40, it opens up.
With all the experience I had gained professionally and personally, I discovered that midlife is actually the perfect time to change course. It’s this insight I want to share with other women who, like me, may believe it’s too late to start a new chapter.
That decision gave life to First Class Boarding Pass: a lifestyle and travel platform dedicated to women embracing midlife reinvention. Here, change becomes a first-class upgrade, combining personal growth, lifestyle and travel into a practical, inspiring guide for women ready to design a life that reflects who they truly are.
